Hello, it’s Me
If you’re on this page, it’s probably because I don’t know you. Welcome! It’s good to meet you. I’m using this website to post my writings old and new in all their various (and nefarious) forms. Click around, read on, and please let me know if you have any thoughts about the thoughts you run into here. I’m looking forward to knowing you.
All works on the site are copyright Ken Zimmerman 2018 unless otherwise noted. Please like, link, and share my writings if you enjoy them. If you’d like to reprint any of these works in a different format please contact me using the form below.

Stuff I’m Into
I write because I can’t not write.
Poetry, songs, nature, conversation, ideas, politics, rivers, physics, love…
A more traditional bio:
I grew up in a military family, moving every few years. I lived mostly in the southern US and overseas, graduating high school in Maryland. I went to college at Oberlin in Ohio, graduating with a double-major in Creative Writing and Communication Studies. I moved out west, living in San Francisco for a couple of years before settling into the countryside near Eugene, Oregon, where I remain. I finished an MFA in Poetry from the University of Oregon in 1988 and taught English for 27 years at Lane Community College. I’m retired from teaching now, and I’m focused on writing and music, friendships and nature.
I’m finishing my first solo CD called Sunset Blues! Let me know if you would like to get one.
