Saying Goodbye
I went up to the mountain to look for the sky
came back to the city, I still don’t know why
where the faces of strangers are all passing by me
but now… I’m saying goodbye
sister sunrise forgive me if I couldn’t stay
I never did learn how to pray
still I want you to know you’re the one I relied on
but now… I’m saying goodbye
there was a time, there was a place
there was a smile up on your face
there was a fall that ended in grace…
now I’ve got some guesses about what’s to come
and I’ve got some worries about the things that I’ve done
when I think of losing you it still makes me cry
but now… I’m saying goodbye
there was a time, there was a place
there was a smile up on your face
there was a fall that ended in grace…
but now I’m saying goodbye
now I’m saying goodbye
